The Paleo diet, also known as the Paleolithic or caveman diet, is a dietary approach that seeks to mimic the eating habits of our ancient ancestors. It emphasizes whole, unprocessed foods that were available during the Paleolithic era, such as lean meats, fish, fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds, while excluding grains, legumes, dairy products, refined sugars, and processed foods.
